THE TEN ÖCKERÖ ISLANDS are situated north of Vinga light and around the corner from Gothenburg. It is a seaweed-scented patchwork of sea and land with glorious scenery and a unique heritage.

This book is about people in a landscape.      STEFAN EDMAN is a biologist, environmentalist and author. He has published some forty popular books on landscape, environment and people.
     TORE HAGMAN is a renowned nature photographer whose work has been published in many books and magazines over the years.
     Both have previously published several books together.
